We have recently deployed Storefront 1903 as part of our plan to upgrade our Mac's to OSX Mojave and Safari 12. We seem to have an odd situation where existing users potentially do not see the Citrix Receiver Launcher Prompt when running detect receiver. If someone else logs into the mac they do get the prompts, so it would appear to be something to do with the existing user on that mac. Following the steps in CTX238286 for the affected client still does not allow the prompt to appear. I have found if i take the additional step within Safari of going to Privacy, Manage Website Data and Remove All it does then appear. We are also using Workspace App 1903.1 for Mac.

By default, the OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) should automatically set how to open '.ica' files when trying to launch any resource via Citrix Workspace or Citrix Storefront via the Web Store if the Citrix Workspace App is installed properly. Confirm Citrix Workspace App is installed or use Citrix Workspace App for HTML5 ('Web Browser' option) instead. I have seen other posts about auto opening the .ica file when it downloads, but I have also experienced a situation where the .ica does not download and as the Receiver Launcher Prompt does not appear Citrix does not open.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and found another way to change the settings in Safari?
- Download Citrix Workspace App, Citrix ADC and all other Citrix workspace and networking products. Receive version updates, utilities and detailed tech information.
- W hen you download the Citrix Online Launcher file, a browser plugin and the Citrix Online Launcher app will be automatically installed. Disable the Citrix Online Launcher plugin in Safari on Macs. Open Finder and select the Go menu Go to Folder. Or, press Command + Shift +.
- Citrix Workspace App Launcher is not able to launch applications automatically with Safari browser version 12. Citrix Workspace App launcher is not able to trigger the application launch on the Safari 12 browser. This issue is happening after the upgrade of Safari 12.
